Obituary
Guest Book
On March 4, 2026, the heavens welcomed a faithful servant of God, Rev. Conrad P. Stachowiak, a beloved Pastor Emeritus of Resurrection Church in Cheektowaga and St. Augustine Church in Depew, NY. His departure leaves a profound emptiness, yet the legacy of his unwavering faith and dedication to the Lord will resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
Father Conrad was the treasured son of the late Felix and Eleanor (nee Falkiewicz) Stachowiak, a family deeply rooted in love and faith. He is reunited in spirit with his dear brother, the late Norman Stachowiak, and leaves behind a cherished sister-in-law, Mary (Thomas) Grochocki. His life was enriched by the joy of being an uncle to Eileen (Jeffrey) State and a proud great-uncle to Knox and Grady.
As we mourn the passing of an extraordinary man, we take solace in the knowledge that he touched countless lives with his kindness, wisdom, and compassion. He was a guiding light in times of darkness, always ready to lend a hand and offer a prayer. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community he served so devotedly.
Father Conrad will lie in state on Sunday, March 8th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resurrection Church, located at 130 Como Park Blvd at the corner of Union Rd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227. We invite everyone to come and pay their respects, to remember a man who dedicated his life to nurturing the faith of others. A Mass of Christian Burial, which will also be signed for those who are hearing impaired, will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM, where we will honor his remarkable journey of faith and commitment to God.
Following the Mass, interment will take place at Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery. As we bid farewell, let us hold close the joyful memories shared with Father Conrad, embracing the teachings he imparted and the love he spread.
In these difficult times, let us come together in prayer and remembrance, sharing our condolences and celebrating a life so beautifully lived. May Rev. Conrad P. Stachowiak rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of our Lord, in the light of His presence.
