Rev. David Farina, age 88 of Fairless Hills, PA, formerly of Ewing, New Jersey, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, at his home. Born in the Bronx, NY, Pastor Farina had been an area resident for the past 63 years.
He was in the ministry for 66 years, and served as Senior Pastor of Calvary Full Gospel Church in Fairless Hills, Pa which recently celebrated his 50th Year Jubilee marking his life of ministry to his church family. Personally, from his childhood to the present he was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Son of the late Ralph and Mary (DelRegno) Farina, devoted husband of the late Ruth (Zullo) Farina and father of the late Ruthann Diretto. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Rev. David E. and Elaine Farina of Langhorne, a daughter and son-in-law Renee and Mark Reedman of Yardley, an adopted son Francis Cartagena, a son-in-law Marc Diretto, a sister Annette “Dolly” Minckler of Mercer, PA, 5 grandchildren Stephanie Esposito (Mark), Jonathan D. Farina (Christina) Kristin Halle (Brian) Marc J. Diretto (Liz) and Christina Diretto, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The extended family of Lucia Maruca and the Womack’s who include Maryann, Taya, Ryan, Francesca, Kiata and Anthony added even more love and joy to his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 3-6 p.m. at Calvary Full Gospel Church, 676 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills, PA 19030. Services for Pastor Farina will follow at 6 p.m. An additional hour of calling will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, from 9-10 a.m. at the church, followed by a brief prayer service.
A private entombment will be held for family only at Princeton Memorial Park.
