Rev. Dr. Donald E. Brown departed this life on March 23, 2024, after more than 40 years as a pastor in the AME Church at the age of 74. He was born on April 20, 1949, to James Earl and Doris Edwards Brown at Salem Hospital, Salem, NJ.
Rev. Brown is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 46 years, Rachel Brown. Children: Donald E Brown, Jr., Atlantic City, NJ; Reeshima Brown [Abdullah], Atlantic City, NJ; Tanisha L (James) Brockington, Long Branch, NJ; Danielle E Bryant (Jeffery), Allentown, PA. Grandchildren: Malik Massey, Atlantic City, NJ; Nigee (Shamirah), Atlantic City, NJ; Alexis Gibson, Atlantic City, NJ; James and Jeremiah, Long Branch, NJ; and Josiah and Naill Bryant, Allentown, PA. Great-grandchildren: Syncere, Aayan, Naomi, Suhaylah and Aryan. He also leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Doris E. Brown, Virginia; Siblings: Rev. Jaymes (Dale) Browne, Las Vegas, NV; Bruce (Vivian) Brown, Land O’Lake, FL; Yvonne (Rev. Dr. W. David) Lee, Ruther Glen, VA; and a very caring son-in-law, Minister Corey Bryant. A bonus son Antwan Ferren. A host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends near and far.
