Alamo, Texas - Rev. Genaro Tovar, 83, passed away to be with the Lord on January 28, 2024 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.
Mr. Tovar was born on September 19, 1940 in Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Mr. Jose Tovar & Mrs. Elena Garza Tovar
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his beloved wife Rev. Noemi Garcia, his brother Oscar Tovar, and his sisters Oralia Tovar and Tomasa Castro.
Rev. Genaro Tovar is survived by his son Jose M. Tovar, his daughters, Laura A. Tovar, Deyanira N. Tovar, Blanca O. Tovar, and Damaris Tovar, his sister Maria Guadalupe Tovar,
6 granchildren and 5 great granchildren.
Visitation for Rev. Genaro Tovar is scheduled for Thursday, February 01, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM at Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco - Chapel of Grace. As per his wishes, Rev. Genaro Tovar will be cremated at a later date.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
