Reverend Edmund C. Dittman Jr, age 77, Husband of the late Elizabeth R. Dittman, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Shore Health & Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, VA.
Born June 24, 1948, in Paterson NJ, he was the son of the late Edmund C. Dittman Sr and Helen K. Dittman.
He was a member of the Eastville Baptist Church in Eastville, VA, and actively attended Zion Baptist Church when he relocated to Parksley, VA.
Ed served our country in the United States Army from 1968-1983.
Ed and Liz came to the Eastern Shore when they answered the call to pastor the New Testament Church in Deep Creek, VA, after the church closed Ed and Liz served in a number of churches on the Shore as layman. Ed was an avid reader wanting to learn more about his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Ed will be laid to rest along with his wife Elizabeth at A.G. Horton Veteran’s Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
