Rex Allen Moore Sr., 73, of Everton, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Unity Health in Searcy, Arkansas.
He was born on March 27, 1951, in Harrison, to Joseph Jackson and Mary Emoline Robinson Moore. Rex dedicated 27 years of his life to working as a forklift operator at Pace Industries, where he was known for his hard work, reliability, and strong work ethic. Alongside his career, he served his community as a Newton County Deputy Sheriff in the 1980s, earning the Sharpshooter Award at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Academy. He was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association and lived by the values of his Pentecostal faith. Rex had a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace and joy in hunting, fishing, and raising hunting dogs. His connection to nature was a defining part of his life, and he shared that passion with those closest to him. Rex will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his faith, and the simple yet profound joys of a life well-lived. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for the outdoors, and service to his community that will be cherished by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill and Bob Moore.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rex Allen Jr. and Jade Moore of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters and a son-in-law, Emily Fenn and Bobby Little of Everton and Victoria Elaine Davidson of Harrison; a sister, Shirley Mae Gunter of Harrison; five grandchildren, Kelby, Colten, Vanessa, Elaine, and Jay Dee; and other relatives and friends.
He will be laid to rest privately at Sand Hill Cemetery in Yardelle, under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Rex Allen Moore Jr., Bobby James Little, Colter Curtis, and Kelby Ethan Little.
