I will miss you Uncle Rex, I will miss the avid inventor, the machinist and rockhound. I will cherish the memories of growing up with you at Grandmas house. May you find peace and happiness in the next life!

Rex Aaron Nielson - My best friend Rex. I wish I had known you earlier in this life, like about 35 years ago, I think we would have done a lot more great things in life together and possibly even invented or started something that would change things for the better, you changed my life a lot and for the better of course just by meeting you, especially the last 3 years. Rex was one of the most positive people I have ever met, when times got hard or the going got rough Rex was always looking and thinking for the better in it or the situation and would say to me it never ends my friend but we just have to keep plugging away at it and moving forward.

Rex shared stories with me about things in his life that I know were very personal to him, and for him to do that it meant a lot to me. We both shared laughter and many tears together. Rex knew so much about so may things from cars, metals, wood, rocks, etc. etc. you name it he knew a lot or something about it and he even tought me a few things, Rex was a very down to Earth person, He would make me laugh when I would say something weird, silly or a joke to him and I would say it to him in a very serious manner and a straight face and he would turn to my wife and say im not sure if he is kidding me or not, then I would burst out laughing and he would say he got me again and he would start laughing also. Rex liked smelling good having clean nails and hands and being well dressed.

Rex was very kind to not just me but also my family, he would always make it a point to ask how my daughter and my grandkids were doing, He loved my boys and was so proud of them when they graduated school. Rex and I shared thrift shopping at as is stores, pawn shops, yard sales etc. we loved showing each other what treasure we had bought or found, Rex had a really really good eye for stuff like that, If one of us was going to sell something we would cheer each other on, he was always so happy if me or my wife sold something " made a sale" to help us get by or to put food on the table and he was sincere about it. I really hope we see each other again my friend. I love you and miss you dearly. Till we meet again.
