Rex Talmadge Templeton

Rex was born on April 4, 1917 and passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Rex was a resident of Statesville, North Carolina at the time of his passing. Rex graduated from Union Grove High School in 1934. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was married to Jestene. Funeral services for Rex Templeton will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday March 3 2017 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Jacob Kyker Rev. David Childress and Rev. Kevin York officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 until 1:00 PM at the church. Deacons of the church with serve as both active and honorary pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted and also in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church 145 Mt. Vernon Church Road Olin NC 28660 or to Millers Creek UMC 4705 Boone Trail Millers Creek NC 28651.
