Rey Pabon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bailey Funeral Home - Plainville on Jan. 28, 2026.
Rey Luis Pabon, age 31, of Killeen, Texas, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2026.

He was born on October 3, 1994, in Bristol, Connecticut, the beloved son of Luz Osorio Osorio and the late Ramon Pabon Quintero.

Rey graduated from Luis Llorens Torres High School in Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, in 2013. He went on to earn his Barber Degree from Emma's Beauty Academy in 2014. Rey began his career as a barber and later worked at a barbershop on Fort Allen in Puerto Rico, where he was inspired to join the military.

Rey served honorably and proudly in the United States Military, a commitment he carried with deep pride and respect.

Rey was a kind soul with an enormous heart. He grew up playing baseball, a passion that became one of the most meaningful ways he bonded with his father before his passing in 2010. Rey cherished the time spent practicing pitching and visiting the batting cages, moments that became lasting memories of love, guidance, and connection with his father.

He was also very close to his siblings. Rey shared a special passion for gaming with his brother, whom he affectionately called "Bebo." With his sister Liz, Rey loved to joke around and was always trying to prank her-hiding and suddenly popping out of nowhere just to scare her. Rey had a contagious laugh, one that inevitably made everyone around him laugh along because it was impossible not to.

Outside of family time, Rey was a gamer at heart. He enjoyed playing Call of Duty, Fortnite, and other games, finding joy, relaxation, and connection through gaming.

Rey also had siblings on his father's side: his older sister Jessica, Ramon Luis, and Jose Ramon. Jessica cared for Rey when he was a baby, and they shared a very strong and loving bond throughout his life. Rey loved all of his siblings deeply, and family meant everything to him.

Above all, Rey loved his daughter deeply and wholeheartedly. She was his greatest joy and pride. He also shared an exceptionally close and loving bond with his mother, a connection rooted in love, loyalty, and mutual strength. Rey was, in every sense, a devoted son, a loving father, a caring brother, and an overall great man whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to greet the family on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Iglesia de Dios Pentecostés Belén, 39 Crown Street, Waterbury, with a service from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

On Tuesday, friends may go directly to the church at 9:00 AM, with a service beginning at 10:00 AM. His funeral procession will leave the church at 11:00 AM for burial at 12:00 PM at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
