Reymund Lee Mrha, who was not just a fisherman but a fisher of men, passed away November 24, 2025, in Richardson, Texas. Born to Teresa Marlee Dehart and Lee Anthony Mrha on March 14, 1979, in Garland, Texas. Rey spent his life dedicated to Jesus Christ and it shows with the enormous amount of people his loss has impacted.
Rey's life was a testament to the power of his love and dedication. He was a beacon of support and friendship to all who knew him. This began even as a small child with his special way of forming bonds with each individual family member. To his mother, Teresa DeHart and her husband Paul, and his father, Lee Mrha and his wife Malu, Rey's presence was a source of joy and immense comfort. Rey's bond with his father was not just that of a parent and child but also that of a very close friend. Rey often went out of his way to ensure his mother knew just how much she was loved by visiting her after work every day. Rey was a loving father to his son Preston and daughter Annabelle, always putting their needs above his own and his legacy will live on in them. His siblings, Jennifer Bailey and her husband Shawn, Anthony Mrha and his wife Dorothy, Chet Mrha, and April Mrha, will remember Rey as a loving brother who was always there to lend a hand or share a laugh. His nieces and nephews, Michelle Bailey, Justin Bailey, Anthony Mrha Jr., Katelynn Mrha, Ella High, Miya Mrha, Emi Mrha, and Kaiya Mrha, will miss their fun-loving uncle who could always be counted on for an adventure or life advice. Rey was preceded in death by his beloved Grandmothers Agnes Mrha, Jo Burrell, Aline Mrha, Grandfather David Mrha, Uncle Albert Mrha, Aunt Janice Joyce and Cousin Scotty Joyce who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
Professionally, Rey was known for his strong work ethic and his willingness to help others. His colleagues respected him not only for his dedication but also for his ability to brighten the workplace with his kindness and genuine care for those around him.
Rey Mrha was actively involved with the Boy Scouts for many years and even achieved his Eagle Scout award after much hard work and dedication to a local cemetery clean-up project. He went on a mission to teach the word of Jesus Christ to the Brazilian people for two years. He learned culinary skills from his time in Brazil, such as his ability to barbecue and smoke meats as the Brazilians do. Rey's love of card games, such as Thirteen with his mom, and trading sports cards reflected his playful spirit and love for a friendly competition.
The words that best describe Rey are loving, hardworking, and Godly. His love knew no bounds, and his faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He approached each day with compassion and a deep desire to make the world a better place through his actions and interactions. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and selfless service. He will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
