Reymundo R. Lopez, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on September 24, 1952, in San Antonio, TX, Reymundo lived a life marked by devotion to family and unwavering strength.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Anita Lopez, and brothers Roger Lopez, Leo Lopez, Paul Lopez and Pete Castillo. Reymundo is survived by his loving wife Erma Lopez, siblings: Gloria Ratcliffe (Richard), Linda Sierra (Roland), Yolanda Lopez (Rochelle), Mary Lopez, Julian Lopez (Linda), and Joe Lopez (Yolanda), who will cherish his memory and the bond they shared.
Reymundo leaves behind a legacy through his children: Merced Lopez, Jessica Kennemur (Jason), Fernando Carreon (Kimberly), Michelle Benavidez (Mike), Corina McDaniel (Aron), Veronica Escobedo (Richard), Rose Amador (Joe), Crystal Carreon (Tyron), and Rudy Perez (Ana). His love and guidance will continue to live on in his 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He will also be remembered fondly by numerous family members whose lives he touched with kindness and warmth.
He showed his love through cooking and barbequing-whether preparing a hearty meal for family gatherings or firing up the grill for a backyard feast, his food brought people together and filled their hearts as much as their plates. His passion for cooking stemmed from his time in culinary school, where he honed his skills and discovered the joy of feeding others. He also led a hardworking life with careers that included oil drilling and installation work, always providing for his family with dedication and pride.
One of his favorite ways to relax was listening to oldies on a Sunday afternoon, letting the music carry him back through cherished memories and peaceful moments. Reymundo also found joy in creative and hands-on hobbies that included ice carving, ceramic work, and took pride in yard work.
Reymundo's presence was a source of strength and joy to all who knew him. His memory will be carried forward in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
