CASTORLAND- Rhonda Mae Farney, 63, of Artz Road, Castorland, NY, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, NY 13367. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home officiated by Beth Monnat, Lay Minister, officiating. Burial will be in Martinsburg Cemetery. A gathering at the family camp will immediately follow the graveside, 8585 Artz Road, Castorland, NY, all are welcome. Any food donations may brought directly to the family camp on Thursday morning. Contributions may be made to Lewis County Agricultural Society, P.O. Box 51, Lowville, NY 13367. Please put Rhonda Farney or Farmer's Market on the memo line.

Rhonda is survived by a daughter, Sarah Farney (John E. Richards) of Castorland and their children, Jordis E. Richards and John D. Richards; Rhonda's life partner, Randy D. Simmons; step-grandchildren, Alex and Destiny McRae and their children Blake and Oakley, Desiree Richards and her daughter, Mila; four siblings, Robin Steria of Martinsburg, Ronald Youngs Jr. of Greig, Rebecca and Joseph Livezey of Brantingham, Regina and Steven Gaffney of Pulaski; aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends. She is predeceased by a brother-in-law, Bruce Steria; a sister-in-law, Marsha Youngs; and by her best friend, Monica Twombly.

Rhonda was born in Lowville, NY on her daddy's birthday, September 22, 1961, a daughter of the late Ronald F. and Shirley A. Knight Youngs. As a child she was called "Tiny Tim". She attended Lowville Academy and Central School and graduated in 1980. Rhonda was married to Bruce K. Farney in 1980 at Lowville United Methodist Church. She worked at McDonalds a few years. Rhonda was well known and co-chair of Lowville Farm and Craft Market, which she has been a vendor at for many years. Rhonda was also a member of Fly Wheel & Pulley and was a vendor in their flea markets. She enjoyed crafts, family genealogy, camping, bullhead fishing, planting gardens, canning, making crafts and jewelry, making homemade shampoo and laundry soap. She was well known for her home remedies. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Rhonda was selfless, always putting others first. She was always there to lend a helping hand, was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
