Mrs. Rhonda Chapman Lindsey, age 56, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Born on May 27, 1968, she was the beloved daughter of the late Ronald Edward and Grace Cornelia Driggers Chapman. 

Rhonda was a proud graduate of the Class of 1986 from Cheraw High School and dedicated her professional life as a Registered Nurse, specializing in OB/GYN care at Marlboro Park Hospital in Bennettsville, SC, until her health necessitated her retirement. A strong-willed individual, Rhonda cherished her time outdoors, particularly at the beach and in her garden. She held a special affection for her family, especially her grandchildren, who knew her endearingly as "Nana." Some of her treasured memories include late-night adventures with her grandchildren, complete with lemon tastings. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Debra Ann Oxendine and Carol Purvis, as well as her brothers-in-law, Roger Oxendine, Sr. and Bobby Dean Purvis. 

Rhonda is survived by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Theodore Lindsey; her son, Jacob Lindsey of Columbia, SC; her daughters, Rebecca Kersey (Trent) of Cheraw, SC, and Melissa Chapman of Cheraw, SC; her cherished grandchildren, Addison, Noah, Dakota, and Coit; along with several nieces and nephews who will also remember her fondly.

A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Welsh Neck Baptist Church in Society Hill, SC, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will welcome friends for visitation at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, and will also be receiving visitors at the home of her daughter, Rebecca, located at 151 Peachtree Drive, Cheraw, SC.
