Rhonda Gail Jones Roach, age 74, of Electra, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on April 30, 2025.
A memorial will be planned for a future date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Rhonda was born May 12, 1950, to Agee and Lottie Jones of Electra, Texas. She grew up in Electra and was always proud to call Electra her home.
Rhonda lived a wonderful life and always had a smile on her face not only for her family, but her many friends. She always saw the best in people and had a way of making people realize they were special, no matter what the circumstances, and always wanted people to know that everyone had a purpose in life. Rhonda worked as a waitress in the family café for many years while her kids were young and then later fulfilled her desire to become a beautician. During her years as a beautician, she always wanted to make her clients and everyone around her happy. She had a smile that would radiate to others.
Rhonda had a very deep love for all of her family members near and far. She had two wonderful children that she loved and supported in anything they did. Rhonda loved reminiscing about all of their memories and things they did growing up, always laughing as it brought such happiness to her.
As her children grew, she was blessed with her new role as NANA which turned into some of the best times of her life. She absolutely loved being Nana and had so many great times and memories with all of her grandkids. Anytime she talked about any of her grandkids, it literally made her face light up and beam with pride. Her next title was still Nana when they had great-grandkids, but that made her even happier than ever. Rhonda never missed sharing pictures of grandkids or great-grandkids any chance she could.
Rhonda married Jerry Roach on February 3, 2017, in Electra, and they had a great marriage and partnership. As typical Rhonda, she always made sure she took care of Jerry and cherished their memories together.
Rhonda also had wonderful siblings that were near and dear to her heart and she truly cherished each of them. Her strong family values and bonds were always a big part of her. Along with her siblings, she adored her sister-in-law and brother-in-law who helped her so much, especially in these last few months.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents Agee and Lottie Jones; and her dear cousins, Pat Grona and Betty Curry.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Roach of Electra; two children, daughter, Heather Kimbro of Electra, and son, Luke Kimbro and wife, Tandy of Iowa Park; grandkids, Luke Hernandez, Korby Kimbro and wife, Yvanna, Ethan Kimbro, Landen Kimbro and wife, Sydni and Logan Kimbro; great-grandkids Haelin Delilah Kimbro, daughter of Korby and Yvanna, and Knox Bradley Kimbro, son of Landen and Sydni; her sister Shirley Walker; brother Larry Jones and wife, Dona; sister-in-law, Debbie Goforth and husband, David Doherty; nieces and nephew, Cathy Walker and husband, Chuck, Marie Coker and husband, Dane, Ronda Patton and husband, Michael and Matt Jones; as well as many cousins, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Along with her family, Rhonda loved nature with two of her favorite things being red birds and yellow roses. She was also an avid reader, so in lieu of flowers, the family asks that anyone wanting to donate, to please do so in her name to the Electra Public Library, 401 North Waggoner St., Electra, Texas 76360.
