Richard Allen Obituary
Richard “Ricky” Henry Allen, 72, of Athens, passed away on February 3, 2025. Born on February 27, 1952, he was the son of the late Roy Henry Allen and Virginia Glisson Allen.
He enjoyed interacting with the public, working in retail most of his life. He loved spending time with his family, listening to music, and truly enjoyed a good meal. you always knew when he was near by the scent of his cologne or hearing his Tarzan yell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Martina Allen; children, Ricky (Laura) Allen, Kim Allen Nation; stepchildren, Desiree Just, Jozsef Burkus; grandchildren, Abigail and Cooper Allen, and Tanner and Charley Nation; siblings, Robbie (Andy) McCarty, Larry (Barbara) Allen; and the mother of his children, Joyce Allen.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, East, with Matt Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.
