Richard "Rich" (Richie) Gayle Anderson, age 68, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at St. Luke's North Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.

Rich was born the son of James Richard and Joyce Jeanette (Horn) Anderson on March 14, 1957, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1975 graduate of Southwest High School, Ludlow, Missouri. After graduation, Rich attended Grand River Technical School, Chillicothe, Missouri. He worked as a farmer and for Delta Sweeping for many years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 2428 in Chillicothe, and the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656. Rich loved music and sang and played guitar in two bands, Country Sunshine and The Ludlow Band.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Gatson of the home; one son, John William Anderson of Chillicothe, Missouri; three stepsons, Brian Gatson and wife, Sicily, Matt Gatson and wife, Amber, and Michael Gatson (Kerina) all of Chillicothe, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, John Dakota Anderson, Travis Richard Anderson, McKenzie Anderson, Carli Munson (Brennan), Adriana Gatson, Sylas Gatson, Shelby Gatson, Jayce Gatson, Baylee Gatson, Gracie Gatson, Jake Gatson, and Xenobia Gatson; and seven great grandchildren, Nevaeh Anderson, Grace Anderson, Milo Anderson, Oaklee Anderson, Elias Munson, Oakley Munson, and Legend Gatson. Rich is also survived by his brother, Jimmy Anderson and wife, Donna, of Breckenridge, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Austin Dale Anderson; and one nephew, James Robert Anderson.

Cremation was held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Austin Dale Anderson Safe Haven Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
