Richard Avera Obituary
Richard served in the US Air Force as a staff sergeant specializing in communications for 8 years during the Vietnam War. After his service, he continued his successful career in telecommunications. He was an avid golfer, sports fan and dog lover who took daily rides through Leesburg with his dog Comet as passenger.
Richard was a devoted husband and father, and much beloved "Papaw." He will be remembered for his love of family, his years of service, his intelligence, his quick wit, and his eye-rolling dad jokes.
