My deepest condolences to Rick´s family and friends. My family and I were truly saddened to hear of the passing of such a remarkable person.

I had the privilege of working alongside Rick as an on-air disc jockey at KLUC FM 98 in Las Vegas back in 1980, hard to believe how long ago that was. Rick stood out as one of the most genuine and talented individuals I´ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

Years later, we reconnected when Rick moved to Orlando and my family relocated to Tampa in the late ´80s. We spoke on the phone and always intended to meet up again, but like so many friendships, life got busy and time slipped away.

Rick would´ve echoed this sentiment: if there´s someone you´ve been meaning to reach out to, don´t wait. Make that call. Reconnect before it´s too late.

In Rick´s honor, and in memory of other on-air DJ friends we´ve lost over the years, we plan to plant several trees.

His spirit lives on in the memories we share.

Gone, but never forgotten my friend.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
