Richard Leon Beisly, 85, of Altoona, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Richard was born on May 13, 1938 in Oklahoma, one of 13 children to Phillip James and Bessie (Thomas) Beisly.
After high school Richard joined the National Guard. On March 28, 1959 he married Elizabeth F. Marrow. Richard and Elizabeth were married for 64 years until her death on April 24, 2023.
Richard drove a truck for Cobalt Boats for more than 20 years until his retirement. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting and especially going coon hunting. Richard had a great love for his coon dogs. More importantly, Richard loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include:

Bryce Beisly and wife Peggy of Altoona, KS
Debbie Beisly of Altoona. KS
11 Grandchildren
28 Great Grandchildren
2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife Elizabeth, sons Frank and Glenn, and 12 brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, OK. Memorials in his memory have been suggested to the Altoona Library and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
