Richard Benson Obituary
Richard C. Benson, 72, of Connellsville, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 22, 2022.
He was born Aug. 20, 1949, in Connellsville, a son of the late Robert and Mary Wingrove Benson.
Richard was a graduate of Connellsville High School and he was employed at Anchor Hocking for 35 years. He later worked at the former Sony Plant in New Stanton.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol L. Stewart Benson; two daughters, Tracy Crider and Tony Scott and Jennifer Roebuck and Matthew Loughman; granddaughters, Jenna Roebuck and Hannah Roebuck; grandsons, Matthew Crider and Jason Crider and his wife Brittney and great grandsons, Zachary Crider, River Gearing and Brison Crider and one brother, Donald Benson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Benson, Jr. and Ronald Benson and a great grandson, Zhane Crider.
As per the wishes of the family, there will be no viewing or services.
A Celebration of Richard's life will be held at a later date and time for the family. All arrangements are under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville.
