My Richard was a self taught "Best Darned Truck Mechanic in South Jersey" (as he would say). He and his brother Nick depended on each other their entire lives. Together they built Berco Fleet Service. Richard was also a winemaker and cook (a good one too). His sisters Jean, Judy and Geri adored him. To know him was to love him. His best friends Tommy Leone and John Gallino would laugh till they cried. They stuck with him to the end.
Thank you to the friends in the garage who pitched in when things got tuff. Brian, Timmy, Rob and Luis, we appreciate everything you have done. Richard leaves behind his sons, Eric and Richard Berti and his grandson Logan (who he really got a charge out of). He will be missed by all who knew him, especially me, his wife Darcie. He was a remarkable man. See you later honey.
A gathering for his family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 12pm from Merighi's Savoy Inn, 4940 Landis Avenue, Vineland.
