Richard Dean "Red" Beveridge, Sr., 81, of Westminster Woods, Huntingdon, and formerly of Saulsburg, Huntingdon County, and Osceola Mills, Clearfield County, went to be with the Lord Wednesday evening, November 5, 2025, at The Oaks at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon. Born September 9, 1944, in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Clarence D. and Mildred E. (Snyder) Beveridge.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Leah A. Hoyt of Saulsburg; two children, Richard Dean Beveridge, Jr. of Clearfield and Shannon Sue Beveridge of Hawk Run; as well as, Leah's children, grandchildren, and extended family. Also surviving are his two siblings, Arthur "Art" Beveridge and wife, Gayle, of Florida, and Douglas "Doug" Beveridge and wife, Darlene, of Osceola Mills; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Beveridge, of Delaware.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Carol (Garvey) Beveridge Hand, who died April 10, 2023; and a brother, Dennis "Denny" Beveridge.

Mr. Beveridge was of the Presbyterian faith and a former church Deacon.

He was a member of the Osceola Lodge #515, F&AM, where he served as past Worshipful Master for two terms.

He was a 1964 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School.

During his employment career he was a welder-fabricator by trade.

Mr. Beveridge's biggest hobby was Punkin Chunkin, the sport of hurling a pumpkin by mechanical means for distance. As a welder and fabricator, he designed and built his trebuchet machine, "SkyPult", which he used to compete in 12 world championships and several local events, including the Howard Volunteer Fire Company Fall Festival.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Private interment will be in the Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
