Richard A. Bohn, 81, Sturgeon Bay, passed away peacefully at his home on July 9, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on March 25, 1944, in Milwaukee to Leslie and Renata (Milhans) Bohn. Richard graduated from Green Bay West High in 1962. On August 17, 1994, he married Charlotte Colombo in Las Vegas. Richard worked at Fort Howard Papermill for 35 years, retiring in 1999. In 2001 Richard and Char started an antique resale shop which still exists to this day.
Richard loved auctions especially the people he has met over the years. He also enjoyed perch fishing, hunting and trap shooting.
He was a three sport athlete at Green Bay West High School excelling in track and field. His greatest sports accomplishment was pitching three games and winning all three at the state American Legion Baseball tournament in Wisconsin Dells in 1960. The team then advanced to Bismarck, North Dakota, where they played in the National American Legion Tournament.
Survivors include his wife; his son, Craig (Megan) Bohn, their children, Brady and Lainey; stepson, Brandon Delchambre; two step-granddaughters, Taylor and Kensie; sister, Joann (Bill) Schmidt; brother-in-law, Bill (Lisa) Colombo; and sisters-in-law, Julie Bohn and Candy Colombo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Bohn; two stepsons, Carter and Dustin; sister-in-law, Mary Colombo; two brothers-in-law, Dave Colombo and Fr. Ron Colombo.
Richard's family would like to thank Green Bay Oncology, especially Dr. J and Eric and to Unity Hospice, the nurses that helped Richard were fantastic.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Huehns Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan St, Sturgeon Bay. A memorial service will follow at 7:00pm with Fr. Tony Birdsall.
