Richard Bohning Obituary
He moved to Rome for a better life for his family and went on to work 30 years for the City of Rome DPW. He was very dedicated to his career. When he wasn't working for the DPW tearing down old homes or plowing the city streets of snow he could be found listening to music, shooting darts, playing pool and cheering on the Buffalo bills (Bills mafia!). Richard was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother, grandfather and friend. Throughout his life, he cherished his family above all else. He took great joy in watching his children and grandchildren grow and thrive.
Surviving besides his loving wife, Carleen, is his mother, Arleen Simpson; former wife, Cleopatra Coffey (Josh); four daughters, Felicia Bohning (Ian-Anthony), Onofria Felix (Diego), Jalaina Fehn and Jamiah Moyer; a son, Richard Bohning III (Elizabeth); a sister, Karol Rodgers; two brothers, Edward Quinlan and Derek Quinlan (Julie); nine grandchildren and one on the way, Joseph, Giuseppe, Ariana, Emma, Aubrey, Curtis, Dominic, Mia and Matteo; family dog Jewels and several nieces nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Sr.; a grandson, Diego Felix; a sister, Lauren Quinlan; and a brother, Robert Bohning.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 24th at 9:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 200 N. James St. Rome NY 13440. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome NY 13440, on Friday, February 23rd from 4-6:00 p.m.
