Richard J. Bradley, age 79, of Redding, CT, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 29, 1945, he was the son of the late George and Rita Bradley. After graduating from Bullard Havens Technical School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his tour of duty, he attended the University of Bridgeport with a B.S. Degree in business. He then went to work as a sales specialist for several plastic companies. He also was past president of the Society of Plastic Engineering. Richard enjoyed going to dinner with his family and many friends, fishing, and, most of all, his yearly hunting trip to Vermont with all of his buddies. He is survived by his nieces, Dawn Bradley, Denise Bradley, and Kristina Weihing, his nephews Jeffrey Weihing (Emily) and TJ Weihing (Sage), his cousin, Carole Fitzgerald (David), his great nieces, Carissa Bradley, Sarah Evarts, and great nephews Kyle and Dylan Evarts.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Stankey Bradley, his brother George, niece Deborah, his cousin Thomas Weihing and his aunt and uncle, Florence and John Weihing.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to the caring ICU team at Danbury Hospital.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 19th, 2025, from 3-6pm at the Parente Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Services will continue on Monday, October 20th, 2025, at 11am at St. Stephen's Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. All other services will be held privately.
