My mother, Beverly Butler, said Dick gave me my first haircut, and 51 years later, I'm happy to say I'm still getting them! My Father (David) and brother (Billy) all went to US Male to get cuts, and sometimes Chris when when Dick was too busy. I was pleased to help Dick and his wife battle State Farm over a hail claim. For a boy just going to get a haircut, you model how a man went about his business and served others, things that help shape me in dealing w/ customers in my jobs. Thank you, Rest In Peace, Dick.

So sorry to learn of Dick's passing. We first became friends through the Southside Optimist Club around 1980 and I had my hair cut at US Male until Dick retired. Always enjoyed our monthly conversations at the shop and sure have missed seeing him, even though we didn't agree about the Cats! My sympathy to the family, Dick was a fine man.

Dick was the best barber ever. He was never without a good golf story. He loved golf, and he loved Myrtle Beach. God bless his surviving family.
