Richard Harold Brochu of Warren, MI passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at his home of 59 years on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the age of 92.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Betty Brochu. His children, Susan (Jack) Bogen-Mineer, Judy (Ted) Santa Maria, Peggy Adamski, and Rick (Michelle) Brochu. As well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in peace by parents Vivian and Aime Brochu and brothers Jim, Bob, and Bud.
Born in Detroit, employed by Fisher Body, Rich dedicated over 30 years of his life to the industry. He always lended a hand to anyone in need--a man who knew how to fix everything.
He was a man of strong faith and family, a member of St. Cletus Catholic Church for over 50 years. Rich loved to bowl and achieved several 300 games. He was on 3 bowling leagues and continued playing into his mid 80s. He also liked to teach his grandchildren how to bowl. He loved to play pool, ride his bike, travel, tinker with cars, and tend to his garden. He will be remembered for his jokes, comebacks, and witty sense of humor.
Richard lived a lifetime of love, hand in hand with his beloved wife, Betty, of 73 years. They cherished their years and many unforgettable memories together. His legacy will be saying, "I love you" with one word, "3" which has been handed down all the way through the great-grandchildren. His passing will leave an unfillable gap in the hearts of his family and friends.
