Richard L. Brode

Richard Brode, Age 93 of Rochester Hills. Dick was born on August 31, 1932 and grew up in Rochester, Michigan. He attended Central Michigan University (CMU) where he met his beloved wife Jewell. After graduating from CMU he served in the US Army for four years. His fiance Jewell went to Germany after graduating and they were married in Hanau in July of 1955.
After his retirement as a State Farm Insurance agent, they enjoyed traveling together.
Dick always bragged about his family and loved the fact that all of his family lived with 15 miles of him. Most recently the thing that he enjoyed the most and always made him smile was spending time with his grand daughters; Melissa (Joe), Sarah (Vasili), Stacey (Jonathon), and Heather (Jeff); his five great grandchildren; Giorgio, Amelia, Jack Macie, and Madelyn; and his two sons; Daniel (Sheryl) and Kenneth (Carolyn).
Following the visitation and service at the funeral home, everyone is invited to a 7:00 p.m. celebration of life at the Detroit Grille House, 55161 Shelby Rd., Shelby Twp.,, MI (25 mile & Shelby Rd.).
