Richard Allen Clinkscale, 58, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at Meijer Heart Center after a brief illness. A Celebration of Life Memorial will take place at the Grand Valley Armory on August 23, 2025.

Born in Morley, MI on April 19, 1967, Richard was raised by his mother Christine with four siblings Martha, Nathan, John, and Patricia. Richard spent his early life hunting, fishing, and learning to cook, hobbies that he would enjoy for a lifetime. He graduated from Morley Stanwood High School and spent 40 years working in restaurant management, carpentry, and trucking. Throughout his careers he made many friends and was known for his cheerful demeanor, reliability, dedication, and willingness to lend a helping hand. Richard loved to hunt and fish whenever he could and cherished spending time with his loved ones.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Christine Clinkscale and his brother, Nathan Clinkscale. He is survived by his sons, Richard Clinkscale Jr and Benjamin Clinkscale. He also leaves behind his siblings, Martha Walls, John Clinkscale, and Patricia Webb, cousin, Johnnie (Doris) Lewis, special friends, William "Skew" and Nadine Askew, and his many nieces and nephews.

Richard will be remembered for his love of conversation, sense of humor, work ethic, and love for his family and friends. His kindness, wisdom, and laughter were gifts to everyone who knew him.

Friends and Family are invited to the Grand Valley Armory on August 23, 2025 from 1pm to 6pm, located at 1200 44th St SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
