Richard B. Crawford, 100, of Port Royal, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 27, 2026, in the comfort of his home.

Born February 12, 1926, in Blair County, he is the son of the late George Crawford and Mary (Kyle) Crawford. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nellie J. Crawford, of nearly 63 years. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, two brothers, and one son-in-law, Stephen R. Saylor.

He is survived by his children, Frank R. Crawford and his wife, Patsy, of Honey Grove, Timothy A. Crawford and his wife, Pat,of Garland, TX, and Kathy J. Saylor of Port Royal. Also surviving him are two grandsons, Chris Crawford and his wife, Emily, and Evan Saylor and his wife, Suzie, as well as three great-grandchildren, Caitlyn and Luke Crawford, and Amelia Saylor.

He was a 1944 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown. He lived and worked on the same farm since 1942. He was a dedicated farmer who worked his land well into his 90s. His commitment to improving the agricultural community was evident by his service on the Farm Bureau Board of Directors, the Conservation District Board of Directors, and the Northeastern Farm Credit Board of Directors. He also served his community on the Juniata County School Board.

Dick's faith was the most important part of his life. He was a dedicated member and deacon of Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, Mifflintown. He was a gentle man known for his wisdom of God's word, his faithfulness to prayer, and his desire to share God's love. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Cedar Grove Brethren in Christ Church, 287 Deerville Road, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
