Richard Cronstrom Obituary

Born in Minneapolis on April 24, 1934, and died aged 89 on August 11, 2023. Beloved father of Kendell Cronstrom (Alejandro Saralegui) and Kristine Maher (Kenneth), grandfather of Madison Rodgers (Joseph), Coleman Maher (Kate Masih) and Paul Maher, and great-grandfather of the one and only Payton Rodgers. A longtime resident of Edina, he was a devoted member of Meetinghouse Church, a U.S. vet who served as a Marine Corps corporal, a lifelong volunteer for numerous organizations ranging from the American Swedish Institute to Courage Kenny, and a nature lover and outdoorsman nonpareil, whose happy place was his family cabin on West Bearskin Lake adjacent to the Boundary Waters. This very special man will be deeply missed by his family and countless friends. Memorial service Monday, August 21, 1 p.m., Meetinghouse Church, 6200 Colonial Way, Edina. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Gunflint Trail Volunteer Fire Department, gunflint911.org.
