Richard C. "Dick" DePlonty

Beloved husband, father, and brother passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, with his family at his side. Age 78 years. Son of the late Thomas J. and Lydia (Kaseman) DePlonty, Richard was born September 6, 1947, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a 1965 graduate of Saginaw High School and served proudly in the U.S. Navy. Richard married Connie A. Marczak, his loving wife of 52 years, on May 12, 1973. She survives him. Dick was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 38 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith. He enjoyed camping, watching Michigan State Athletics and the Detroit Lions.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie; his son Brian DePlonty, Saginaw; his daughter, Kimberly DePlonty, Saginaw; two sisters and three brothers, Sharon and Roger Miller, Tom and Barbara DePlonty, Jack and Helen DePlonty, Bruce and Sue DePlonty, and Cindy DePlonty; a brother-in-law, Mike and Marilyn Marczak; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will take place 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Charles Campbell will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the funeral home, here the family will be present on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
