Richard Troxel Obituary

Evans, GA – Mr. Richard "Dick" M. Troxel, 87, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

A native of Umatilla, Florida, Mr. Troxel spent many years in Atlanta, where he built a successful career as a home builder. Following his retirement to Amelia Island, he later moved to Augusta to be closer to his family. An avid golfer and crossword enthusiast, he was also a passionate fan of the Atlanta Braves, the Falcons, and his beloved Florida Gators. Above all, he was a devoted father and grandfather, affectionately known as "Pe-Pop" or "Poppy," whose love and presence will be deeply missed.

Family members include his children: Mike Troxel (Lisa), Pam Troxel, Chris Troxel (Katie); grandchildren: Ashley Ashe (Everett), Kristin Duke (Tyler), Christopher Troxel, Hudson Troxel, Grayson Troxel; great-granddaughters: Layla Ashe, Eliza Ashe, Amelia Ashe, Kallie Duke; and great-grandson, Wirth Duke, who will make his arrival in April 2026. Mr. Troxel was preceded in death by his parents: Norma and Harry Troxel and an infant sister: Katherine Troxel.

Services will be private.
