Richard "Dick" Sherwood Webster

Richard “Dick” Sherwood Webster, 97, passed away Friday October 11, 2024. He was born December 30, 1926, to the late John and Blanche Webster in Forsyth County, NC. Dick proudly served his nation during World War II. He was a entrepreneur for most of his life and in his early years worked in NASCAR as part of the Ford Motor Company. Dicks favorite pastimes were playing his guitar, singing, and flying his plane. Most of all he loved his Lord and was a witness to many. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Webster; a son, Rick Webster; three brothers, Tom, John and Jerry Webster; and two granddaughters, Stephanie Kuntz and Rachael Dobson. Dick is survived by three daughters, Linda Bush, Janet white, and Katie Dobson; two sons, James Hewett and David Whitlock; one brother, Harry Webster; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with Dr. Rev. Virgil G. Dwyer, Jr. and Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
