Richard F. Diechman, 83, of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1939, the son of Clarence and MaryAnn (Kerby) Diechman in Saginaw. On June 30, 1992, he was united in marriage to Sandra Blank in Gladwin. He retired from Grey Iron Foundry in Saginaw. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a member of American Legion Post 171. Richard was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Sandra Diechman; children: Jeffrey (Margarette) Diechman, Robin Southern, Joel Diechman, David (Beth) Blank, Timothy Blank, Susan Blank, and Andrew (AnnMarie) Blank; 17 grandchildren; along with several great grandchildren; sister: Judy (Tom) Wenzel and brother: Timothy (Kathy) Diechman.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister: Rosemary Gaertner.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Military Honors will be conducted by Gladwin American Legion Post 171. Memorial Contributions may be made according to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Gladwin, Hospice Compassus, West Branch, or Gladwin Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
