Richard Dozier, a loving father, cherished grandfather, son, and brother, was born on April 24, 1966, in Corbin, Kentucky, and passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky
Richard was the life of every gathering, his jovial personality and infectious laughter lighting up every room. He could often be found mowing the grass or relaxing in front of the television. Richard enjoyed the many pleasures of life, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandkids. His love for them was boundless, his pride in their accomplishments immeasurable.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Dozier; grandparents, Emmitt and Della Shackleford, Matt and Martha Dozier, and by his step-dad, Woodson Daniel, Jr.
He is survived by his father, Charles Dozier; children, Samantha Fields, Richard Kyle Dozier, Charlie Jones, Branson Tigue, Destiny Tigue, and Lillian Dozier; siblings, Terry Dozier, Barbara Evans (Alan), Sherry Dozier, Chucky Dozier (Pat), Wayne Dozier, Donald Dozier, Geri Dozier Nunn (Jim), Pam Alsip, Kim Dozier Wilson (Calvin), Jay Dozier, Chris Dozier, Jared Dozier; and by a host of grandchildren.
Visitation for Richard Dozier will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 6 - 8 pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral service will then be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Vankrik-Grisell Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Brafford Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky.
