Richard Allen Durham, age 92 of Adams, passed from this life on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at his home. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Eddie Bellar and Bro. Tyler Estep officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Davis, Max Davis, Josh Smith, Christopher Smith, Jimmy Dowlen, and Brayden Dowlen. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service. His cremains will be buried in Bellwood Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Richard was born on August 27, 1933, in Oak Grove, TN in Sumner County to the late Robert Wayne and Allene Freeland Durham. He was a member of Adams United Methodist Church and The Adams Fisherman's Club. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from Dupont. He enjoyed traveling with his son turkey and quail hunting. He was also a beekeeper and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Edna Hamlin Durham; son, Dennis Eugene Smith; and brother, Thomas Ward Durham. Surviving him are his son, Tommy Durham of Old Hickory; daughter and son-in-law, Celia and Eddie Bellar of Adams; sister, Sheri Alford of Adams; six grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to The Adams Fisherman's Club. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
