Richard "Dick" Lewis Elledge, 77, of Austin, Arkansas, passed away on September 9, 2025. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Born June 24, 1948, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to James and Marilyn Elledge; Dick graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1966 and proudly served in the U.S. Army in 1968, completing his tour in Vietnam and receiving multiple medals for his Dedication & Brave service.

Dick married Vicki Hinshaw on October 14, 1969, and they would have celebrated 56 years together this year.

In 1979, he moved his family to Austin, Arkansas, where he lived most of his life & raised his family.

He was an avid fisherman, loved sports, and found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; children, Ryan (Jennifer) Elledge and Regina (Chris) Thompson; grandchildren, Clara, William, William, and James; brothers, Terry (Meredith), David (Robin) and Robert Elledge; brother and sister in-law, Roger & Marcy (Kevin); and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marilyn; brother, James; and his in-laws.

Dick was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. His family finds peace in knowing they will see him again in Heaven one day.
