Richard Thomas Eyler, lovingly known as Tommy, passed away in a tragic accident on April 13, 2025 at the age of 42. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Tommy's generous heart and vibrant spirit left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him. Tommy was born on July 10, 1982, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Francis Scott Key High School class of 2000 and attended Western Maryland College (McDaniel). Tom began his professional life serving the City of Westminster and later found his calling as a project manager with Heidelberg Lehigh Cement, where his leadership, reliability, and hard work were deeply valued. He had a servant's heart and was happiest when he was giving back. He was an active volunteer in his community, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tommy had a love and passion for cooking and began working with Feedbag Catering which he enjoyed for many years. He especially loved coaching his daughter Hailee's softball team and his son Gunnar's football team-roles he took on with pride and joy. His dedication to others, whether through work, friendship, or family, was a constant thread in his life. Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years, Stephanie, their two children; Hailee Madison (10) and Gunnar Thomas (7), who were the center of his world. He was the cherished son of Gregory and Angela (Hemler) Eyler, a loving brother to Katie Eyler (Travis Shipley) Nathan Eyler (Stephanie). Tom is also survived by his sister-in-law; Jennifer Haddaway (J.R.), and his cousin who was like a brother, Amos Ferguson as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends. Uncle Tom was adored by his nieces and nephews: Dylan, Brooks, Owen, Clayton, Lennon, Bentley, Palmer, Harlow, and Remi. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life which will be held on May 3, 2025 at the Union Bridge Fire Hall from 4-9pm, where friends and loved ones will gather to honor the incredible life Tommy lived. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Hailee and Gunnar Eyler's name to support a college fund in their honor PNC bank Taneytown, a lasting tribute to the love and guidance their Father gave so freely. To know Tommy was to love him. He was larger than life. His laughter, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed and never forgotten. I got it from here; I will love you forever, my Superman.
