Richard Arthur Falcioni

1953 - 2023

Richard Arthur Falcioni went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2023. He was born on February 15, 1953 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Guy and Jean Falcioni. He grew up in South Plainfield with brother, Guy and sisters, Diana and Laura. He graduated from South Plainfield, New Jersey in 1971. After serving with the U.S. Army from 1973-1976 stationed in Germany, he returned to South Plainfield where he volunteered as one of the first EMTs of Muhlenburg Hospital's Mercy Six trauma team located in Plainfield. There he met the love of his life, Valerie, in the Emergency Room where she worked as a nurse's aide. They were married on January 7, 1978. Richard attended Rutger's University in the Physician's Assistant Program, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor degree in science. His 40 year career spanned several specialties including surgical, clinical, orthopedic and emergency medicine. He practiced in Kentucky, Maryland and Delaware. After retiring, he and Valerie moved to Palm Bay, Florida, where he enjoyed life volunteering for Palm Bay Police Department's VCOP program, tinkering with his 1974 VW Beetle, watching movies and feeding the squirrels peanuts and almonds each morning. He also enjoyed cooking and sports (especially baseball), as well as many other hobbies and interests too numerous to name. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Valerie, daughter and son-in-law Seth and Larissa McCauley, grandsons Ethan and Logan McCauley, son Timothy and daughter-in-Law Christi Falcioni, sisters, Diana Dezuzio, Laura and Mike Puccetti and brother, Guy Falcioni and his fiancé Maria Greco. He is also survived by his nephews and their families including: Kevin and Alicia Dezuzio and daughter; Gary and Bow Dezuzio and children; Daniel and Kristina Bean and children; Steven and Nicole Puccetti; Joseph and Diana Puccetti, and niece Emily Falcioni and her fiancé, Ricky Thompson. Funeral services will take place at Beach Funeral Home-East in Satellite Beach, Florida on Monday, January 8, 2024. Visitation is from 10 A.M - 11:30 A.M. followed by a Celebration of Life service from 11:30 - 12:30 P.M.
