It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of our dearly loved Richard " Rick" Eugene Garlets.
Rick was born on February 21, 1959 to Charles and Stella (Martinez) Garlets. He departed this world peacefully on February 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in his hometown of Colorado Springs.
Rick is survived by his former wife and best friend, Annette; his daughters, Stella, Richelle, Talayah and Saraleena; grandchildren, Olivia, Owen, and Alana; his sister, Judy; nieces, Michelle and Stephanie; nephews, Charlie and Bobby; and great-nephews, Brandon, Stephen, Aaron, Hunter, and Sebastián.
Rick's happy place was when he was cooking with his family and making great memories with them.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Stella Garlets; and brothers, Chuck and Bob Garlets.
Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
Inurnment, 12:00PM, Wednesday,. February 21, 2024, Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
