Richard Gasperi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 10, 2026.
Richard "Richie" Gasperi was born on October 2, 1966, in Bronxville, New York, to Rita Gasperi (DeMartino) and Eugenio Gasperi.

Richie grew into a curious, sweet-natured soul whose charm and warmth were felt by everyone he met. He was always ready with a heartfelt hug and had a genuine way of making people feel seen and valued. An adventurous scholar at heart, Richie was constantly seeking new experiences and knowledge. He had a deep love for astronomy and astrobiology, wrote poetry, and found joy in music-especially The Who. He was also passionate about cars, with Dodge being his favorite.

Richie loved writing letters and staying connected with those he held dear. He treasured time spent being social with old friends and sharing laughter and memories with his many cousins, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Rich married his high school sweetheart and together they had two children, Richard and Jessica. He loved his children tremendously and was always immensely proud of them.

Rich is survived by his son, Richard A. Gasperi; his daughter, Jessica L. Gasperi; his mother, Rita Gasperi; his brother, Robert Gasperi (Cynthia); his sister, Annette Gasperi; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rich has found peace and reunited with his father, Eugenio, his cousins Sal and Gina, and the aunts and uncles who loved him so dearly.

Richie will be missed tremendously by all his family and friends, but his memory lives on through the countless wonderful moments shared with him. We hold those memories close until the day we see him again.

May he now rest peacefully among the stars he loved so much.

"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy"

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

- Revelation 21:4
