I was a caregiver at New Perspective not too long ago and grew close with Richard while I worked there. My favorite thing about him was his endless amounts of jokes and how he always lit up a room by just being himself. I am truly sorry for your loss and send my deepest condolences.

My condolences to Sue and Barbara, both of whom I attended school with in West Bend, WI back in the 1970s. I well remember Mr. Gerhardt's leadership at Trinity Lutheran Church. Such a talented, well-rounded Christian and musician. His voice was angelic, yet powerful and vibrant. I met Sue during high school and UWWC, and met her sister, Barbara, at UWWC. Both great women! I think Sue went on to become an elementary ed teacher, as well as a music teacher; so we had many interests in common. I also remember, fondly, Sue's grandmother who would scold me for not wearing a hat in the winter, and for skipping lunch! "Sue's got to have her lunch!" with that "look" she'd give me at times. LOL My condolences to the entire family; and may your soul, Mr. Gerhardt, rest in peace. Amen.
