Richard L. Goodson

I was fortunate enough to have known of Dick in my younger days but later as as a business friend, confidant, mentor and friend. Dick was passionate about his work life and frequently brought people together. His home receptions for political people were legendary. He so many times would introduce me to his connections in politics and in business. From Senators, Congressional members to Presidential candidates, his background on foreign relations and even hob-knobbing with retired Secret Service Agents made knowing Dick a rewarding and unique experience. He enjoyed talking of his humble roots as a meat cutter at the great A&P. He was open and accepting with his early diagnosis with Alzheimer´s.
I was also fortunate to join him on many trips to Washington DC for our day on the hill with our congressional members and then to dinner at one of the great restaurants of the city. He is enjoyment of good wine was unsurpassed. I was blessed with his friendship.
