Richard Frank Graczyk, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandpa, and friend, passed away on January 23, 2025, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, at the age of 91. He was born on May 25, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Anna (Hojnacki) and Mateusz Graczyk, and later embraced the love and guidance of his stepfather, Frank Orzechowski.
Richard had a dedicated career spanning over four decades, working for Mueller Climatrol for 19 years and then spending an additional 24 years at Harley Davidson. His commitment to his work reflected his strong work ethic and passion for serving those around him.
Outside of his professional life, Richard was known for his deep appreciation for nature and the joys life has to offer. He found fulfillment through fishing, deer hunting, gardening, and cooking, hobbies that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with family and friends.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen (Chronert) Pratt-Graczyk. He is also survived by his children, Monica (Steve) Bittner and Rich (Tonette) Graczyk, and stepchildren Julie (the late Butch) Schlueter, Jeff (the late Jenny) Pratt, Lori (the late Clark) Hintz, and Carol (Joe S) Pratt. Richard's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Ryan (Erin), Jessica (Brent), Ben (Courtney), Adam, Keith, Kassie (Nick), the late Kerrie, Crystal (Jim), Mindi, Trisha (Scott), and great-grandchildren Riley, Mason, Carter, Colton, Hayden, Emma, Addison, Chloe, Madeline, Grayson, Jackson, Gabrielle, Riley, Harleigh, Kolton, Cameron and Avi. Dear brother of Esther (the late Bill Reichardt) (the late John) Angle. Special brother in law to Milton Esser, Sharon (James) Dulski, and Gary Goetz. Richard is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends, all who will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his first wife Sylvia and by his siblings, including Matt (the late Jenny) Graczyk, Josephine (the late Joseph) Marciniak, Frank (the late Anna)(the late Judy) Graczyk, Marie (the late Henry) Grzybowski, and Susie (the late Ray) Heitkemper.
Richard's memory will be celebrated by those whose lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and enduring spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished family memories that will continue to flourish in the hearts of his loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Divine Mercy Parish (800 Marquette Ave., South Milwaukee, WI) from 10-10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Private interment at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society of the American Lung Association.
