Entered into peace to be with the Lord at the age of 94; beloved husband of the late Mary J. (nee Rowan) Harvey; devoted father of Richard Jr. (Dawn), Alice (late Robert), Jerome (late Sheryl), and the late Nanette; loving grandfather of Richard III (Tara), Christina (Peter), Jeremy (Sarah), Julia (Andrew), Sean (Amy), Jacob (Lauren), Jeffrey, and the late Dawn; adored great grandfather of ten great-grandchildren ; cherished companion of Jeanne Vollmer. The family will be present Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the (Cleveland Hill Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 569 Cleveland Dr. (near Harlem Rd.). Family and friends are invited to assemble Thursday at 10 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Infant of Prague Church, 921 Cleveland Dr., Cheektowaga, NY 14225. Richard was a driver for East Delevan Cleaners, Contrell Bus Company, Tops Markets, and FedEx. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc. or UB Athletics. To all of the Harvey Family;
Pat, Steve & Ryan Hoerner send our sincere condolances to each and every one of you.
The Harvey & Hoerner relationship goes way back to Infant if Prague CYO and softball. Jan played ball with my sisters Marlene, Linda & Sandra for a few years. Then Pat and her mom Mrs Pestka joined Bingo and who called the balls but both Dick and Pat. I remember Ceilia Pestka telling Dick to behave with Pat on stage!
Then came our wedding day when we requested Richard and Quartet to sing at our mass making it even more special for us!
While always frequenting Lunetta's each of us knew the most pleasant person there, Mary Harvey by name and often took her meal recommendation to eat, what a sweetheart!!
Ryan worked at FedEx Buffalo and crossed paths with Dick quite often at the truck docks, always jovial while heading to his nightly Erie-run or returning at later that nite.
Some years ago Dick and Steve met up at a Bike Meet and connected, having a mutual liking of BMW's, and ultimately taking numerous rides all around WNY...what fond memories between our interwoven families to cherish forever! Miss you already My Friend!

Alice & family, so sorry to hear about Dick's passing. He was a wonderful person and a great Bingo caller. Now he is heaven with those who have gone before him. May God give you His Comfort, Peace and Healing as you mourn. RIP, Dick!
