Richard Stephen Healis, 83, known to his family as "Rick" and friends as "Rich" of Phoenixville, PA, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Born on December 14, 1942, in West Philadelphia, PA, Rick was the only son of the late Esther (Tiberino) and Robert Healis. He attended St. Thomas More High School, after which he bravely served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Rick enjoyed a long and distinguished career in quality assurance, working for Crane Company in King of Prussia for over 20 years and later for KBR for over 30 years, continuing his work nearly up until the time of his passing.

While he was proud of his service and career, these accomplishments paled in comparison to the greatest joy of his life which was loving and treasuring his wife of 56 years, raising his two children, and being the very best Grandpop to his four grandchildren.

Rick was the devoted husband of Ann (Gibbons) Healis, and the proud father of Maureen (Healis), wife of Peter Wismer, and Stephen Healis, husband of Jennifer Healis. He was the cherished Grandpop of Lauren Wismer, Michael Wismer (husband of Paola Wismer), Megan DeVries (wife of Quinton DeVries), and Anna Healis. He was also joyfully anticipating the arrival of his first two great-grandchildren this spring.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Esther (Tiberino) Healis and Robert Healis. He was also a beloved brother-in-law and uncle to many nieces and nephews on his wife's side of the family.

Rick was truly young at heart. He had a deep zeal for life and a sense of humor that was genuinely infectious. An avid reader, he enjoyed books, but his greatest joy was always spending time with his beloved wife and family. He lived life to the fullest and made it richer for everyone around him. He will be missed beyond words, yet his loving, generous spirit, and the joy with which he lived, will remain in our hearts forever.

The family has chosen to honor Rick privately at this time and is grateful for your prayers and messages of condolence.
