Richard Lee Hofacker, age 84, of Sugar Grove, formerly of Bellbrook, passed away October 11, 2025. Richard was born in Arcanum, Ohio on January 30, 1941 to the late Gale and Clara Hofacker.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Hofacker; brother, Donald Hofacker; as well as his sister, JoAnn Hoops.
He is survived by daughter, Chrissy McGuire; son-in-law, Michael McGuire; grandsons, Reece and Cameron; daughter, Bonnie Wallace; daughter, Linda Roberts; nephew, Fred Hofacker; grandchildren, Alicia, Alexandria, Jamie, Jim, Jonathan, Robyn and Brandy; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, family members and friends.
Richard retired from Delco after many years of employment, he absolutely loved his job and his coworkers. His nickname at work was "Indian".
In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, spending time with his beloved dog, Bibi and his friend, Kathy, watching TV, cooking and enjoying the Koi fish in his ponds.
Richard was a wonderful father and friend. He was supportive, caring, encouraging and loving.
Donations may be made in Richard's memory to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-3:00pm on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), with funeral services being held at 3:00pm.
There will be a graveside service at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens at 10:00am on Friday, November 7, 2025.
