Derry, NH - Richard (Ric) Francis Hudson, Jr., 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Ric was born on Pi Day, March 14, 1952 in Augusta, Georgia.
He started his career in retail in Lynn and eventually became a Regional Manager, which moved him to Virginia. Prior to retiring, he owned his own residential cleaning business in York, Maine. His last 14 years he spent as an advocate for the elderly and disabled in his community.
Ric was predeceased by his parents, Richard F. Hudson, Sr. and Marie Hodunowa of Peabody, MA. Ric was an avid New England Sports fan cheering on both the Celtics and Patriots. He loved photography and had a special place in his heart for his sister's golden retrievers.
Ric is survived by his sisters, Kim (John) MacArthur, Derry, NH and Jackie (Leo) Beauchamp, Sandown, NH. Nieces, Jill (Shawn) Rocha, Danville, NH, Krystie (Kyle) Rosenberger, Concord, NH. Nephews, Jeffrey (Amanda) Beauchamp, Deerfield, NH, Edward Beauchamp, Northfield, NH and many really great nieces and nephews. Three of which were instrumental in motivating his healing; Charlie, Kyle, Jr. and Aiden. Ric also enjoyed "pushing the envelope" with his companion and partner-in-crime, Karen Cabral, who was a huge advocate in Ric's healthcare.
