Survivors include wife, Jacquline James (Goen); daughter, Amanda Jo (Carl) Haney; sister; Rennie (Jeff) Pershing; Chip (Yolonda) James; father, George H James Jr.; grandson, Abel Haney; several nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by, mother, Mary Jo James; brothers, Tom & Frank James; In-Laws, Stanley & Wanda Goen.
Richard served in the U.S. Navy. He loved coaching Abels baseball teams & volunteering in youth ministries and everything sports.
Service will be September 24, 2024 at 10:00AM at Camby Community Church, 8604 Camby Rd, Camby, IN 46113 with a visitation from 9:00AM until the time of the service. Officiating will be Pastors Brad Long & Greg Jones. Burial will be at Indiana Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Madison, IN.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the American Cancer Society & Camby Community Church.
